Milo

A training logger and progression coach for iPhone and Apple Watch — with a self-hosted service so a real coach can see the week.

Runs on: iphone + watch

Milo is a training logger for iPhone and Apple Watch. The phone builds programs and holds the history; the Watch runs the workout — crown for reps, tap to log, rest timer starts itself, with the timer and active session on the Dynamic Island via Live Activities.

Programs are built from slots: a position in the workout rather than a fixed exercise, holding a main lift plus alternates, with transfer coefficients converting the weight on a swap. After each session the plan rewrites its own sets, reps and weight from what was actually lifted. The Watch is a full offline runtime with its own SwiftData store; the phone stays the source of truth and CloudKit syncs from there. First-party frameworks only, no third-party dependencies.

Milo Check-in is the companion service: a Raspberry Pi behind a Cloudflare Tunnel that takes the weekly log — weight, calories, cardio, logged sets, photos — and serves a password-protected history site for two people, the athlete and the coach.
